انتقل إلى رحمة الله تعالى مدير شرطة منطقة الرياض السابق اللواء محمد بن عايش المطيري عن عمر ناهز 85 عاماً، بعد معاناة مع المرض. وأديت الصلاة عليه بعد عصر اليوم (الأحد) في جامع المهيني بمدينة الرياض، وووري جثمانه الثرى في مقبرة الشمال.
وكان الفقيد، المولود في بادية مهد الذهب عام 1363، قد أمضى نحو 37 عاماً في القطاع الأمني، تدرج خلالها في عدد من المناصب والقطاعات الأمنية بمناطق المملكة.
وبدأ اللواء المطيري مسيرته العملية في القطاع الأمني مطلع السبعينات الهجرية، بالعمل في شرطة مدينة الرياض، ثم شرطة جدة، ومرور منطقة حائل، وشرطة العاصمة المقدسة، قبل أن ينتقل للعمل في إدارة المباحث العامة بالعاصمة المقدسة.
وتولى لاحقاً منصب مدير المباحث العامة في المدينة المنورة، ثم مدير المباحث العامة بالمنطقة الشرقية، قبل تعيينه نائباً لقائد قوات الأمن الخاصة.
وفي عام 1399 صدر قرار تعيينه مديراً لشرطة منطقة الرياض، واستمر في منصبه حتى أُحيل إلى التقاعد عام 1409 بناءً على طلبه، بعد مسيرة حافلة بالعطاء في خدمة القطاع الأمني.
The former director of the Riyadh Police, Major General Mohammed bin Aish Al-Mutairi, passed away at the age of 85, after suffering from illness. The prayer for him was performed after Asr today (Sunday) at Al-Muhaini Mosque in Riyadh, and his body was laid to rest in the Northern Cemetery.
The deceased, born in the Bedouin area of Mahd al-Dhahab in 1363 AH, spent nearly 37 years in the security sector, during which he held various positions in different security sectors across the Kingdom.
Major General Al-Mutairi began his career in the security sector in the early 1970s AH, working in the Riyadh Police, then in the Jeddah Police, the Hail region’s police, and the Holy Capital’s police, before moving to work in the General Investigations Department in the Holy Capital.
He later held the position of Director of General Investigations in Medina, then Director of General Investigations in the Eastern Province, before being appointed Deputy Commander of the Special Security Forces.
In 1399 AH, a decision was made to appoint him as Director of the Riyadh Police, and he remained in his position until he was retired in 1409 AH at his request, after a distinguished career dedicated to serving the security sector.
