وجرفت السيول أجزاء من الطرق الرئيسية، مما أدى إلى إغلاق طريق شترال-بيشاور السريع وطريق شترال-شاندور أمام حركة المرور، وعزل الوادي عن باقي المناطق.
كما تسبب الفيضان في انهيار عدة جسور وتضرر كابل الألياف البصرية، ما أدى إلى انقطاع الإنترنت وتعطيل شبكات الاتصال في المنطقة.

وأشارت التقارير الأولية إلى أن أحد الضحايا من منطقة “بروز”، في حين عثر على جثة ثانية مجهولة الهوية في نهر شترال، وتم انتشالها بواسطة فرق الإنقاذ.

وتواصل الفرق المختصة جهودها لتقييم الأوضاع وإعادة فتح الطرق، وسط تحذيرات من تداعيات إنسانية إضافية جراء استمرار تقطع السبل بالعديد من القرى.
