يوم الثلوث آخر صفر جاء لنا علوم

ابـن خليفـه جـاء الخبـر عن غيـابه

مجيديع خليفـه لِحِـق قبلـه اقروم

قرمٍ طوى من العُمـر صفحة كتابه

والكـل راحـل ماش مخلوق بيدوم

والدايـم اللّٰـه اللّـي عـزيـزٍ جنـابـه

والعُمُـر مهما طال لـه يوم محتوم

تالي العمـر في قبُـر مسقوف بـابه

ومرحوم ياشيخ الكرم قاوي اعزوم

أفضل صفات الطّيب حاوي جنابه

هذاك أبومشعل صميدع وزيـزوم

عـاش الوفـى منـذُ نعـومة شـبابه

والكل يشهد له من اقراب والقوم

بالفعل مثل اللَّيث لأضرس بنـابـه

ودون القـرابه درع مايلحقـه لوم

حزام وسط ودرع جنب.. وعصابه

ولعـل روحـه عنـد واليـه مرحـوم

وبرحمـة الرحمـن يغفـر حسـابه

ولعل ابومشعل من النار معصوم

وعساه في الجنّـة رفيق الصحابه

On the Tuesday of the last month of Safar, news came to us

From Ibn Khalifah about his absence

Majidiya Khalifah preceded him, a noble one

A noble man who turned a page of his life

And everyone is departing; nothing created will last

And the eternal is Allah, the One whose honor is exalted

And life, no matter how long, has a fated day

At the end of life, in a grave with a roof over it

And may the merciful, O Sheikh of generosity, be honored

The best qualities of the good encompass his honor

That is Abu Mishal, a steadfast and noble man

He lived with loyalty since the softness of his youth

And everyone bears witness to him from relatives and people

Indeed, like a lion with its sharp fangs

And without kinship, a shield that cannot be blamed

A belt in the middle and a shield on the side… and a band

And perhaps his soul is with the merciful, may he rest

And by the mercy of the Most Merciful, may his account be forgiven

And perhaps Abu Mishal is protected from the fire

And may he be in Paradise, a companion of the companions
